A non-refundable fee of CA $75 must be paid by students applying directly to UWindsor through the UWindsor International Application website. 

6. Check The University of Windsor Scholarships and Financial Aid

If they meet the following requirements, international undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for the University of Windsor Open Entrance Scholarship program:

  • After completing their secondary schooling, students must apply directly to UWindsor for scholarship programs through their website. 
  • Students should not have resumed secondary school education to upgrade after a year or more of a break in the previous academic year.
  • Although an admissions offer may be made in advance, the scholarship eligibility is determined by the student’s final and interim Grade 12 grades. 

To determine if an applicant should be promoted to the next scholarship tier, the scholarship eligibility will be examined once the institution has received all final grades.

Important Note: This scholarship is only available to applicants for full-time courses for the Fall Intake. 

Students who enroll in the Winter Intake program are not eligible for this award unless they intend to enroll full-time in the Summer session that follows the Winter session. 

7. Other Scholarships Offered by The University of Windsor

The UWindsor Skills Competition Scholarships are also open to prospective undergraduates. 

Only particular courses, nevertheless, are covered under this program. 

By early May, students must have their UWinAward Entrance Application Profile finished if they want to be considered for this scholarship. 

Graduate applicants must complete their applications by the program deadline or the entrance scholarship date, whichever is earlier, to be considered for the Graduate Entrance Scholarship. 

To be eligible for this award, a student must be enrolled full-time in a research-based program and have an admissions average of at least 80% (or an equivalent). 

The financial aid covered by the scholarship program is as follows:

  • Thesis or major paper stream: CA $7,500 for one year (non-renewable)
  • Non-thesis or non-major paper stream: CA $3,750 for one year (non-renewable)
  • Doctoral: CA $7,500 per year for up to four years

Note: Graduate applicants also have the option to apply for graduate endowment and department scholarships.
