Kumara Parvatha

Andharban Trek

This is a forest trek in Maharashtra. The trek is basically a long walk in nature. The forest is so dense that even sunlight barely ever touches the ground hence proving its name. The trail is slippery during monsoons but the views make up for it. The waterfalls, open grass fields, lake look like a painting came to life. The trail is easy but lengthy, as this 10 kms trek stretches from one end to another. There are times when people often backtrack and exit mid way. The hike feels rejuvenating and refreshing, offering a totally different environment than the noisy city. 

Prabalmachi Trek

Located in the Raigad district neighboring Mumbai suburbs, the area receives a ton of tourists and trekkers during the weekends. Raigad district consists of fort treks which trekkers absolutely adore. Along with blissful nature, the place has attached history with itself. Prabalmachi is located right beside the Matheran hills. Often opted for one day ventures, Prabalmachi offers fort ruins at the top and waterfalls enroute. The last stretch of the trek is the thrilling part of this trek with 80 degree vertical steep climb. There are also several camping sites near the base village which offer tents and delicious Maharashtrian dishes.
