The process to Host Other Streamers on Twitch

For desktop users

If you are a desktop user, firstly you need to access your Twitch channel to begin hosting. Click on your ‘account’ icon on the top right corner and from there select the ‘channel’ option. Once it is opened, now you need to access your chat 

For Android Users

If you are an iPhone, iPad, or Android user, you can access your channel by tapping on the channel icon on the top left corner of your app and there you will get the chat option, just click on it.

The ahead process is the same for desktop and mobile users. To begin hosting, now you need to type /host stream, and in place of stream you need to type the name of the streamer whom you want to host like if I want to host twitch gamer, I will type “/host twitch gamer”.

This command works both on desktop and mobile devices. So if it worked then you can see the hosted streamer appear and you can see the streamer name below your username which indicates that you are hosting them. And if you want to stop hosting, type /un host to stop.

Using Auto hosting Process

If there are channels that you want to host regularly or support regularly then you can use the auto-hosting feature of Twitch. This feature allows you to automatically host the number of approved channels that you want to host when your own stream is offline.

Unfortunately, this setting is not available on mobile devices but for desktop users, it is easy to change the setting to auto-hosting. To do so, click on your ‘account’ then select the ‘channel’ option. Now on your channel profile, click on the ‘customize channel’ option to access your settings. Then scroll down until you get the ‘auto hosting option, enable it to auto host. 

There you will get two options- to prioritize channels for hosting or to host channels randomly, you can choose as you want. And from there you can add and manage channels that you want to host. And in the future, if you want to remove it in future, you can remove it as well by tapping on the delete icon which you will get there.

And you have to add it again if you want to host it again in the future.
