It should not come as a surprise that there are various kinds of mens socks. Knowing which is which is necessary. It is important to consider the type of sock you will be using them for. For example, compression socks are designed to help reduce swelling and soreness after an intense workout. Meanwhile, thermal socks are meant to keep your feet warm during the winter.

How to care for your socks

Caring for your socks is easy as long as you know the after care for the type of materials used to make the socks. Some materials would require a gentle cycle while others could withstand a more rigorous washing cycle. Machine wash in warm water with a mild detergent and do not use bleach or other harmful and strong cleaning agents and tumble dry socks on low heat. It is also advisable not to put socks in the dryer with other clothes.

Aside from that, there are other things you could do to extend the life of your socks such as making sure they are clean and dry before putting them in storage. Do not wear your socks if they are wet from sweat or rain and if your socks got wet when you are outside, properly dry them by either air drying or using your dryer. 

No matter how much you care for your socks, you need to know that they will still need replacing to avoid bromodosis or any other embarrassing foot odour issues.
